Data best protected from abuse by any unknown person is the goal of the development of SBaaS Solution. With SBaaS we want to give the people a solution to protect almost all of kind of sensible data, e.g. private data, business data. The data must be long term available, not only locally but also like all cloud provider over internet. Beside low cost, a SBaaS Server is able to process the data and filled even more usable functions for user. The SBaaS Solution is many connected local clouds based on SBaaS Servers and their connection topology. |
| World widely aaccess to local SBaaS Server with domain name | Dynamic DNS (DDNS) | DDNS is a method of automatically updating a name server in the Domain Name Server (DNS). For user with internet connection provided by ISP (Internet Service Provider) the IP address used for connection may be changed after time. With DDNS is a user able to access the SBaaS Server by using a registered domain name, e.g. https://erp.xelectronix.com, and don’t need to care the connection IP is changed. For private user a free domain name can be registered by e.g. https://spdyn.de. |
| Network file share for Windows and Linux computer | Samba | Samba is one of the network file sharing systems and supported by Windows and Linux system. With samba you can make a network disk in MS Windows and mount a network share in Linux. The data share becomes very easy. Depend on your network environment a SBaaS Server can be set as master or slaver. With customer command is a user able to change password for samba user. Right now in SBaaS Server the samba users are fixed to applications namely sbaas, ftp and www-data, so as to keep the system slim. Customer names are also possible, but have to change system setup. The user can do this self or we help you. |
| Virtual Private Network | OpenVPN | A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network, and enables users to send and receive data across shared or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network. For VPN Server is a domain name or fixed IP address necessary, but a client doing not need this. If you want to build a VPN network connected to different places and you do not have a fixed IP. You need to use DDNS. For VPN connection user have to generate and import the certifications, master for master and client for client. The charm with VPN is all connected devices in same sub- network direct or only point to point accessible. Alternatively support SBaaS Server also WireGuard VPN, but the GUI setup is right now not implemented. VPN |
| Discover SBaaS Server presence in local network | Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) | Be used to discover SBaaS Server presence in local network and establish functional network services for data sharing, system and database managing. This is very useful for PC with MS windows. |
| Transfer data to Server | File Transfer Protocol (FTP) | With IP cameras the video image may be processed during capture and analysis like motion detection and tampering detection logic may raise alerts by communicating with a SBaaS Server. The alert may use IP protocols, e.g. File Transfer (FTP), to transfer data (photos or vide) to Server. Because of the security weakness, for connection not in home the VPN should be used. |
